I can, therefore I should
Last Friday I was thinking of going skiing, but my motivation wasn't that high. I said to myself, "I can, therefore I should," and went up. Turned out to be a fantastic morning, and rather than leaving after half a dozen runs, I kept taking "one more" over and over.
It got me to thinking a bit. I need to adopt the "I can therefore I should" attitude as much as possible.
I'm rarely sick or injured enough to have it limit my activity. When I'm healthy I think, if I was ever seriously infirmed I'd make an effort to get out and enjoy as much as possible. In reality when I've been "seriously infirmed" I feel too poor to even consider "getting out and enjoying."
There's a cliche' in the above I'm sure, and I just have to keep reminding myself how lucky I am on many levels and to relish as many moments as possible by engaging in blissful activities. (Blissfully constructive not destructive activities) "Everything in moderation, including moderation."
